These are just some answers to questions I've taken from those personality surveys that get passed around the Internet.  Here are my answers as of June of 2006.  November 2006 updates in lavender.  January 2008 are in yellow.  February 2009 in green.

1.Full name and nick names?

Full: Jennifer Ann Monica (Monica is actually my Confirmation name)

Nicknames: I actually go by Jenni.  Occasionally Jen.

2.Birthday and sign?

Birthday: July 24, 1982

Sign: Leo

3.Favorite Fruit?

Strawberries, oranges, tomatoes, bananas, and blueberries

Also red grapes.  Because they're cheap and taste good.

4.What do you look for in the opposite sex?

Sensitive, patient, has integrity, compassionate, nonjudgmental

Relatively sane.  That's probably a good thing.

Not looking.  But if I was then all of the above and probly tons of other lil things.

5.If you could turn into an animal which would it be?

Josh.  My dog.  Cause he's pretty pampered and gets pretty much whatever he wants!  Or Flick, my frog, being able to sleep for days and getting fed on command sure sounds inviting!  Plus his home just looks so peaceful, like a mini-woods.

RIP Flick.  I miss ya.  My dog, Danika, wouldn't be a bad choice.  She has lotsa toys, lotsa treats, and a comfy bed.  And apparently a better immune system than myself which right now, with a cold, I envy.

6.If you could meet one person in the world who would it be?

More of my online friends I've talked to for years.  I've been lucky enough to meet three.

7.Favorite quote?

"I just want you to know there's nothing to be afraid of. On one side, there is life. And on the other...there is life, too."--Andrew, Touched by an Angel

"As you grow older you will discover that the most important things that will happen to you will often come as a result of silly things." Chaim Potok's The Chosen

"No matter what happens, never forget who you are.  Never." ~~ Sam, Touched by an Angel

"Through all this stuff I have not become a cynic, I haven't.  Yes, I do happen to believe that love is mainly about pushing chocolate-covered candies and you know, in some cultures... a chicken.  You can call me a sucker, I don't care cause I do... believe in it."~~ Dr. Perry Cox, Scrubs

And a slew of others.  I'll eventually make a page just of quotes, I'm sure.

8.Ever been in love?

Nope, not yet

9.What's on the walls of your room?

I have slanted walls so those work well for displaying *lots* of wind chimes and hypnospheres and things of that nature.  On the non-slanted parts a bunch of bookshelves.

I have a whole house now to clutter up.  But my walls are still quite bare.  Some of them, anyway.  But soon they won't be!

They are definitely no longer bare.  In my room it's a buncha crosses and Jesus paintings.  In other rooms... Waterhouse prints, angel stuff, frog stuff, butterflies, theatre posters, "Beauty and the Beast" illustrations, and more.

10.Is the glass half-empty or half-full?

If it's a drink you really liked then you'd want to say it was still half full. However, if it was something like a friend's really bad coffee that you're only drinking to be polite then you'd be happy to say it was half-empty. However, your friend really shouldn't have been putting coffee in a glass to begin with because it belongs in mugs.  (Unless it was iced coffee.  Then a glass is okay.)

I've been going from optimistic to pessimistic to undecided so often these days it's a wonder I'm not dizzy more often.

Glad to read not much has changed.  :-)

11.What is on your ceiling?

See above re: wind chimes and spheres.  Oh and my personalized ceiling fan.  And hanging candles of various sorts.

Ceilings aren't that great but I managed a few wind chimes and the like.  Downstairs I have the majority of my wind chimes up cause that ceiling isn't plaster and so it was way easier.

12.Pick a song that describes you or one that you can relate to:

Well, I was named after Harry Chapin's "Jenny" so I guess that!

Alabama's "I'm in a Hurry (And Don't Know Why)"

Coldplay's "The Scientist" in some ways.

13.Favorite movies?

Okay, I'm gonna think of this like "Desert Island" on "The Office."  Five movies I'd bring with me if stranded on a desert island that miraculously has electronics but no phone would be (in no particular order):
1.  The Green Mile cause it's long and I could keep myself busy pondering parts for long periods of time.
2.  BBC's Pride and Prejudice cause it's also long and would keep me reasonably happy (and has Colin Firth).
3.  The Birdcage to keep me laughing.
4.  Waking Ned Devine cause I just plain love that movie.
5.  The Princess Bride cause it's got a lil of everything and I've loved it since childhood.

14.Favorite color?

Blue.  Royal blue or light blue.  Not so much navy and really dark shades.

15.Did Adam and Eve have belly buttons?

Well, I would assume so but if you get technical then I guess not.

16.If you were a dog what would your name be?

Angel, may be?  That was my mom's dog's name when she was lil.  And it has an ironic ring for me when I think about Angel from RENT and Akita.  ;-)

17.What do you first notice when you meet someone of the opposite sex?

I've never really thought to take note.  But I'm gonna guess eyes or hair.  Could be smile.  Voice may be.  I'll have to pay more attention, I guess!

18.If you could do one thing to the person you hated most what would it be?

I'd make them feel how they've made others feel.  Not sure how I'd pull that off but somehow!

19.How tall are you?

5'3''

20.Time you were born?

11:08 AM

21.Do you go in the chat rooms?

Back when Touched by an Angel was on I'd go to chats after it aired.  Now about two reunion chats a year is it for me!

I've gotten back to IMing some.  But as for full chats, only a couple times a year still.

22.Do you consider yourself nice or mean?

Nice

But I can get mean when provoked or feel provoked, even if not intentionally.

23.What annoys you?

People who take others for granted.  Disrespectful people.

Businesses calling my new number looking for other people despite my already calling the office and telling them no one of that name is at this number any longer.  I'm considering changing my voice message to "You've reached Jenni, Danika, and Stan.  Please leave a message for us.  If you're looking for anyone else, please don't leave a message and don't call again because they're not here."  Stan is short for Stanley which is Flick's middle name.  I thought it'd be good to have a guy's name in there for security.  Haven't yet decided whether to use this or not.

I miss Stan...  But I did get those people off my back by threatening a lawyer and contacting the FCC...  Guess they didn't realize either that that woulda been the FTC's jurisdiction.  Oops.  Right now I guess I'm most annoyed by people making comments about one's dietary choices and people who keep asking a question after it's been answered.  "Do you want some dessert?"  "No, thanks."  "Are you sure?"  "Yes."  "Really?"

I'm 26.  I can answer a question truthfully and with certainty, thanks.

24.Favorite candy?

Chocolate. York Peppermint Patties if we're talking specifics.

Almond Joys are pretty good.  And Hershey's keeps creating a buncha really yummy types of Kisses.  Dove dark chocolate.

25.Have you ever broken a body part?

I broke my right arm in 3rd grade while attempting to jump off the swing set in my backyard.

26.Do you have a boyfriend?

No

27.What state do you want to go to?

Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, and others for the scenery.  New York and California for the cultural experiences.

There's so much here in NE and IA I wanna see and haven't yet.

28.Favorite singer?

Harry Chapin and Loreena McKennitt I always seem to come back to and have sizable collections from them.  I'd like to get more Keb' Mo' CDs.  Love the three I have.

Lately I've been listening to Coldplay and Chantal Kreviazuk quite a bit, mostly via Pandora.com.

29.Favorite group?

I'm gonna say the RENT cast.  I actually don't currently listen to any particular bands much.

Ah, Coldplay goes here.

30.Wish?

Personal wish: That I'd figure out where I'm supposed to be and what I'm supposed to be doing and if anyone else is supposed to be involved.  May be an apartment now that I can afford it.  Thankfully, I've been able to knock 'a job' off my wish list since I found one.  Yay!  Forget an apartment.  Bought a house.  Yay!  So new wish... to get the house completely in order.  House is pretty much in order so... working appliances.

Universal wish: For more understanding and compassion in the world.  And flying cars.  I've convinced myself that would help in a huge way.  Just think, no more roads!  We could let everything but parking lots go back to nature.  (Yes, I'm sure there would be increased air pollution problems or something but I'll leave that for the scientists to figure out.)

31.Favorite TV shows?

Let's see...  My all-time favorite show will most likely turn out to be Touched by an Angel with Frasier as my favorite comedy.  But, depending on its continued run, NBC's The Office may eclipse Frasier.  Then I also like Scrubs and Law & Order: SVU.

Moonlight.  I sure hope it comes back after the WGA strike...

RIP Moonlight.  And I did NOT start watching any new shows this year.  Learned my lesson.  I'm actually starting to prefer TV-less nights, anyhow.

32.Favorite sound?

Music, soft rain, babies cooing or laughing, and friendly voices

33.Worst feeling in the world?

Helplessness and betrayal.

If we're talking physical feelings, nothing drives me crazy quite like an ear infection.  25 year olds really aren't sposed to be getting ear infections as often as I seem to.  I feel like a baby.

Wow.  I seem to update this when sick...  Whatever I and most of my office is just getting over was NOT a great feeling.

34.Best feeling in the world?

What you feel after truly helping someone.  Feeling loved and valued.

35.Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Not even sure where I'll be next year!  Hopefully having a job and social circle I love.  I have a job!!!  Heck if I know.

36.Future son names?

James Andrew called Jamey.  I'd like to have more than one but I only have that one name I really, really want to use.

37.Future daughter names?

Miriam Grace called Mirry has been a favorite for a long time.  But then we got a dog named Grace so I think I should look for a new middle name...

38.What do you collect?

Frog figurines and plush, wind chimes, angel stuff, variations on the story of Beauty and the Beast, different versions of the song Scarborough Faire, and CDs.

Books, too.

Dishes.  Not intentional.  I just seem to get them...

39.Favorite songs?

Scarborough Faire clearly and for reasons I'm not even quite sure of.  There are far too many other songs I love to name them all.

40.Favorite class?

I'm done with classes!  Not going back any time soon, at least.  English and Religion/Theology were favorites.  And certain Psychology classes.

41.Least favorite class?

Generally my Math and Science classes were my most dreaded.

42.Favorite plays or musicals?

Plays: Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol and The Elephant Man

Musicals: (I've seen lots more of these than just plays.) RENT, Jesus Christ Superstar, Godspell, Aida, The Fantasticks, A Man of No Importance, and Tick, Tick... BOOM.

43.Dream vacation spot?

Ireland and I'd like to go back to Canada and see different parts.  Prince Edward Island would be lovely to visit, I'm sure.

44.What is your favorite stuffed animal?

Friends.  Though plural, it's actually the name of my singular clown doll my grandparents bought me when I was tiny.  I carried her everywhere.  She actually has a steel plate in her head cause once her eyes rolled back into her head.  I was devastated but Grandpa fixed her.  :-)  He also painted me a portrait of her.

45.If you knew you were going to die tomorrow, what would you do?

Pray and hang out with family and friends until the end.  And hope the angel of death looks like Andrew or Adam or Henry from Touched by an Angel and not that hooded monstrosity.  ;-)

Now I'd actually have to deal with financial stuff...  Not fun.

Write good bye letters and burn some stuff.

46.If you could live in ANY movie you wanted, what movie would you live in?

I really can't decide.  Is there any version of King Arthur's story that doesn't involve an Arthur old enough to be my dad?  If so, I could live in that.  And marry Arthur after Guenevere runs off with Lancelot.  I always liked Arthur better, anyhow.  But then I don't think they were quite up to my cleanliness standards back then...  Hmm.  May be I just better stay here.

47.If you could have one, inhuman quality, what would it be?

Invisibility.  The possibilities are endless!  I could travel wherever I wanted because I could slip onto planes unseen.  Save on travel costs!  Pull the occasional prank.

48.Favorite web sites?

I suppose those that I check daily like livejournal.com, snopes.com, perverted-justice.com (those folks are doing awesome work, in my opinion), and IMDB.com.

IMDB.com is the only one of those I still check really frequently.  Now all my top sites are news related.  Guess I've gotten boring.

Pandora.com.

49.Favorite holiday?

Easter, Christmas, and Halloween

50.Favorite flowers?

Roses and lavender cause they smell lovely.  I also love those "crazy daisies" you can buy in bouquets with the neon colors.

51.Favorite magazines?

Real Simple.  I save all the recipes and it's got some good advice.  Some of it's a bit too much for me, though.

52.Favorite smells?

Lavender and freshly baked sweets.

53.Favorite soundtracks?

Currently Walk the Line and Waking Ned Devine.  Also various musical soundtracks like RENT, Aida, and others mentioned above.

Wicked too.

54.What is the first thing you think of when you wake up in the morning?

Lately it's been "Why am I up so early?!"

"What day is it?" and then "Where's Danika?" if it's not immediately obvious.

55.Storms? Are they cool or scary?

Generally cool unless they're tornadic.

I'm over storms.  They were cool until I got a dog that acts like it's Armageddon every time there's thunder and lightning.  The novelty really wears off after the second night of scraping your dog off the floor under your bed.

No more snow storms!

56. Were you named after anyone?

Ann is my Grandma's middle name and Monica is my patron saint's name. Then Jennifer after Harry Chapin's "Jenny" as I stated above.

57. If you were making a movie about yourself, what would the title be?

"Reality is Only Just a Word."  Okay, may be that's a touch long.  But it's also from a Harry Chapin song ("Corey's Coming") which only seems right.  "Chasing That Vision of Light" is actually from the song "Jenny."  Might be kinda cool.

58. Are you trendy?

I'm not sure.  I was when hippie/boho stuff was in.  Now I'm not sure what's in.  So probably not.

Definitely not.

59. Any bad habits?

Sure... Who doesn't have them?  I pace a lot.  Over-analyzing and over-doing things is a problem, too.

I drink too much caffeine.

I also get OCD about housework sometimes.  When you're running a fever of 100+ and decide you *must* do laundry, you have a problem.
